I am looking for an experienced Shopify specialist (QA / backend auditor) to perform a full pre-launch audit of my Shopify store backend.

Please note clearly:
???? The frontend / web design is already completed and is NOT part of this job.

This project is strictly focused on backend validation, configuration testing, and logic verification.

The backend has been built by a Shopify developer following a detailed step-by-step specification document written by myself. However, due to inconsistencies and mistakes identified during the web design phase, I now require an independent expert review before launch.

???? Objective

Your role is to verify that the backend implementation matches the specification exactly and functions correctly in real conditions.

This is a quality assurance / audit mission, not a redesign or creative development task.

???? Scope of Work

You will review and test the following:

– Shipping logic and rules
(multi-carrier setup: DPD / PostNL / fallback carriers / country-based rules)

– Product structure and tagging system

– Cart and checkout behavior
(including mixed-cart scenarios)

– Loyalty / reward app configuration

– App integrations and interactions

– Country-specific shipping logic (EU / UK / Switzerland / etc.)
One stop shop tax scheme's set up and correct taxes & vat% work everywhere.

– Any custom backend logic implemented by the developer

– Overall consistency between specification and actual store behavior

???? Deliverables

You must provide:

– A structured audit report

– Clear identification of:
– Errors
– Missing implementations
– Incorrect configurations
– Conflicts or broken logic

– Screenshots or screen recordings as proof

– For each issue:
– Expected behavior (based on spec)
– Actual behavior (on store)
– Severity (Critical / Major / Minor)

– The frontend design is already finished

– A full specification document exists and must be followed point-by-point

– The backend has been built, but has not yet been validated

– This audit is required before launch to ensure system reliability

– Strong Shopify backend experience

– Experience with:
– shipping rules / multi-zone setups
– Shopify apps and integrations
– checkout logic and cart behavior

– Highly detail-oriented and structured

– Able to follow technical specifications precisely

– Strong testing / QA mindset (not just development)

– This is not a development or design job

– No rebuilding or redesigning is required during the audit phase

– The goal is strict verification and reporting

– Accuracy and clarity are critical

If the audit reveals significant issues or non-compliance with the specification, a separate follow-up agreement may be proposed for correction or completion of the backend work, based on the audit findings and documented scope.
