AS/400 Engineering is responsible for extensive technical support on the AS/400 platform
Tasks
- Deliver extensive technical support on AS/400 hardware
- Deliver extensive technical support on OS/400 operating system
- Deliver extensive support on middleware applications, including application development
- Perform third line support on multiple (>100) production and test AS/400 platforms
- Support AS/400 Hosting team in 3rd line support
- Initiate improvement plans and set up and perform acceptance tests for these
applications
- Perform Piket (stand-by duties)
- Working during weekends and non-office hours may be required
Requirements
- Minimal HBO level through education or experience
- More than 5 year experience within ICT
- Thorough knowledge of AS/400 hardware including Power5 and Power6 LPAR technology
- Thorough knowledge of OS/400 operating system up to V6R1
- Knowledge of HMC"s
- Knowledge of External Storage (SAN)
- Knowledge of (IBM) Tape Libraries
- Understanding of complex infrastructure and its components
- Minimal ITIL Foundation
Wishes
- Knowledge of middleware applications like IBM MQ-Series, IBM BRMS
- Knowledge of Clustering applications, including data mirroring
- Knowledge op Linux
- Knowledge of AIX
- Understanding of financial ICT environments
- Programming experience in CL, RPG, Cobol
